Boy Scouts will not pick up Christmas trees

Just like last year, the Boy Scouts will not be picking up everyone’s Christmas trees in Lodi. Instead, trees must be dropped off by January 8, 2022 at the Grape Bowl.

The City of Lodi sent a press release at the end of December notifying citizens of the change in plans. Due to COVID, the Boy Scouts will not be picking up Christmas trees. Live Christmas trees can be dropped off at the Grape Bowl north parking lot from January 3 – 8, 2022 from 7:00am – 5:30pm. The north parking lot can be found on Stockton Street between Lawrence School and the Grape Bowl Stadium.

This is the same plan as last year, as the COVID pandemic has not changed. While we do have vaccinations available, boosters are now recommended and even mandated in some situations, such as attending classes on select college campuses. Hopefully and end will come to this all sooner rather than later.
