Lodi Business Leader Passes Away From COVID-19

Job Sanchez, owner of the restaurant Casa Mexicana in Lodi, has passed away due to COVID-19. The Sanchez family notified friends, family, and the town through social media of Mr. Sanchez’s death on January 21, 2021. He was 52. Mr. Sanchez is survived by his wife, Elena, and two daughters.

The family also tested positive for COVID-19, but their symptoms weren’t as severe. One was even asymptomatic. It has become evident that the same strain can affect people very differently.

A Go Fund Me was created for the Sanchez family to help with medical expenses after Job was admitted to the hospital on December 10, 2020. The Go Fund Me is still active, and all donations will now cover medical and funeral expenses.
